So, what’s new in SD?

My name is Margaret King and I am a classroom teacher with 29 years of experience, 27 of these years in the same small town school in South Dakota.  I have a strong science background of Biology & Chemistry but decided to become an elementary teacher many long years ago.  Since this was about the same time that the state of SD and others implemented middle school endorsements, I qualified in just about all academic areas, not just science.

I love science since it’s the basis of just about everything in our world.  I like teaching the lower levels of science to middle school students since we keep things simpler here.  Unfortunately our world isn’t simple anymore, and things just keep getting more and more complicated for our students.
